Another Sign of Spring: Potholes

What are potholes?

Potholes are, by definition, is a failure of the asphalt pavement. Usually caused by water under the asphalt, the pressure of thousands of cars can make already weakened spots give way. We see more potholes appearing in the spring as the ground begins to thaw.

When to visit your car care specialist?

If you hit a pothole, here are some of the issues to look for with your car

1. If your car pulls in one direction after hitting a pothole, you may have an alignment issue.

2. Inspect your tires for bulges and blisters along the rim. If any are visible, it's time to see your car care specialist

3. Any loss of control, swaying or an unusually rough ride may also be signs you have damaged your suspension, shocks, or steering systems.

If you have these or any unusual issues after an encounter with a pothole, it's time to make an appointment with your car care specialist.
