The weather is changing, the birds are back in the trees. Here are the top three car care tips to help your car look it's best and last longer:
1. Change your wiper blades-Wiper blades can get worn out from months of salt and snow. With all those April showers, spring is the perfect time to change the wiper blades on your car. According to Consumer Reports, if your wiper blades are leaving any streaking or not fully clearing the moisture, it's time to change the blades. You can also extend the life of the blades by wiping them down with a soft cloth.
2. Check your Ventilation System-Winter can clog your ventilation system with debris. According to CBS News, test your ventilation system by turning your air conditioning up to the highest setting and make sure it reaches a cool temperature in a reasonable amount of time.
3. Check your Oxygen Sensor- You may not even know what it is, but the oxygen sensor in your car needs to be checked regularly. The sensor, which helps maximize your gas mileage by regulating the gas mix that goes into your engine, is easy to test, and reasonable to replace if need be. It should be done every 30,000 to 50,000 miles.
These tips should get you headed down the "right road" for spring driving!
