Importance of getting lice removal in our salon .

Natural lice treatments vary. When I first started this
'Lousey' business 20 years ago, my method of delicing a head was quite different then today. I would tell parents to douse there kids in sticks of smelly margarine or olive oil, over night with saran wrap. It was absolutely gross!!!
The point if it was to smother the lice & loosen the nits from the hair shaft. A reasonable purpose , but pretty disgusting!!!
The kids were uncomfortable having oil dripping down their faces & necks.
Their pillows and pajamas were destroyed with oil stains.
The margarine or oil needed to be in the hair overnight, which meant an extra day of having lice.
Which also meant parent missing another day of work.
Child missing another day of school.
Being embarrassed! Having everyone know you had lice, since your hair was so oily! Having to wash your hair out, with dish washing soap (with one that cuts grease), a few times, before ever getting all that oil out.
And children catching colds!!
(There are still lice treatment centers that will recommend unnecessary, expensive oils.)
Well desperation is the mother of all inventions, my method and techniques have changed a lot since my margarine days..
