Baseline Medical Present "How to Prevent A Stroke" Quakertown

Tuesday, June 24,2014 Dave Brown of Baseline Medical was invited to speak before a group of 16 individuals at the Center for Nutrition & Wellness, Pennsburg, PA

The center offers informative seminars to empower the individual to take a more active role in their health care.

Dave presented an overview of how blood flows via the carotid artery to the brain and to the facial area. When these arteries become blocked a stroke may occur without warning. He then proceeded to perform a live carotid artery ultrasound on a volunteer who had already been diagnosed with a blockage and received subsequent surgery to correct a portion of it.

The audience had many questions concerning both the screening procedure and typical carotid artery blood flow. There was a genuine interest in learning how they could take charge of their health and possibly prevent a stroke via the ultrasound screening procedure.

Dave will be returning to the Center for Nutrition & Wellness in the near future to perform the carotid artery ultrasound on over 12 of the individuals in attendance.

About Dave Brown, BA MS RVT - Owner - Baseline Medical: Dave Brown initiated the foundation for Baseline Medical over 40 years ago with required science courses as a college undergraduate.
