The visa is granted for 2.5 years and it is important to get it extended if you are willing to stay for long. 2. You will get your visa for 2.5 years and then you need to renew it.

3. You should intend to live together to be eligible for a spouse visa.

4. You must fulfill the financial requirements as stated by the British government.

5. You can also use your savings as an example of your earning. Meaning if you are falling short of to fulfill your financial requirement you can use your savings to balance it.

In short, you must have sufficient funds in your bank account to pay for your expenses and your spouse's expenses and if you are having kids then the financial requirements are different.

Another factor which you need to keep in mind is the age eligibility. The partner and the spouse, at the time of applying for a visa, must be over 18 years, the age at the date of traveling is not considered. The age should be over 18 years to get a spouse visa in UK.
