A podcast is a great way to get out an important message. You want to get this message out to as many people as you can, and there are many resources that you can use in order to keep track of your listenership.
Apple Podcast Analytics
You can use the overview tab on the Analytics data visualization tool so you can find out who listens to your podcasts. It will tell you how many people listen to your podcast. It will also tell you where your listeners live. Additionally, it will tell you how engaged your listeners are. For example, it will tell you how many people listened to either 40% of your podcast or 20 minutes of the podcast.
The number of plays is something else that you can see in Apple Podcast Analytics. Keep in mind that you need an Apple ID in order to use the podcast analytics tool.
Backtracks Switchboard
Backtracks Switchboard is something else that you can use to keep track of how many people listen to your podcasts. You can view this information on your dashboard. It will calculate the number of subscribers that you have on your podcast. One of the many great things about this service is that it is free and easy for you to use.
You need to sign up for a Backtracks Switchboard account. The next step is to set up Switchboard. You will then be able to see the number of subscribers that you have.
Anchor
Anchor is another free podcast analytics app. You can see your listeners and subscribers on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify. It has easy-to-read analytics on the dashboard. You can also use Anchor to record your podcasts. After you record a podcast, you can even edit it in Anchor.
