Gloria Estefan is a trailblazing pop icon who was born in Cuba. A talented singer, songwriter, and actress, Gloria says the LGBTQ+ community was one of the first to support her and the Miami Sound Machine as they rose to fame. Even as she continues her solo career now, she often speaks up about issues in the LGBTQ+ community and her unwavering support for her lesbian daughter, Emily.

Gloria Anzaldúa

Gloria Anzaldúa was a talented writer, poet, and scholar who faced many challenges throughout her life, including racism, sexism, racism, and homophobia for many many years. She addressed these critical topics with her work.

Juan Gabriel

Juan Gabriel was a talented singer and songwriter from Michoacan. He was known for his beautiful singing voice and incredible looks onstage. Although he never openly came out as queer, he beamed with pride and continues to inspire many others to be their authentic selves, just as he did.

Celia Cruz

Celia Cruz is an Afro-Latinx icon who took the world by storm with her incredible outfits and amazing talent. She first rose to fame in Havana before gaining popularity in Mexico and then coming to America to take our breath away. Although she has passed away, she continues to inspire today's Afro-Latinx icons.
