There are companies, which take orders online and get the them as per your need and hence you get your personalized bobblehead.

Materials used for making them

In previous years, they used to be made from clay, but it was easily breakable and hence were not much durable. Therefore, in recent years, materials that are used to make these dolls, are polymer clay or polyresin. These materials are durable and long-lasting and dolls made from these materials are more presentable and attractive. Polymer clay does not contain any clay material and is derived from PVC, and is a nontoxic and transformable material. Similarly, polyresin is a sturdy material that can be molded and hence allowsfor incorporating more details and consistent texture.Polyresin does not have any color and after making the doll, it should be painted in vibrant colors.

Comparison of the materials

Basically, materials used for making bobbleheads are ceramic, polyresin, and polymer clay. If compared from the point of view of cost, clay is the cheapest material whereas, polyresin is the costliest material. If production is to be made on large scale, then polyresin can be used but, for making one or two pieces of bobbleheadspolymer clay is used. Durability point of view, polyresin, and polymer clay both materials are durable and ceramic is not much durable.
