But as a trans woman, you must take extra precautions to be safe. Violence against trans women is at an all-time high, and it's vital to stay safe as you enter the dating scene. Here are some trans women dating tips to help you stay safe.

Don't Rush Into Physical Meetups

Online dating is all the rage, and there are some amazing trans women dating platforms to use. But before you meet up with the stranger you just started talking to, wait things out. Be patient, and always remember that trolls do exist.

It's better to get to know someone online and feel comfortable meeting up. Resist any pressure and never meet with someone in the real world until you're 100 percent ready.

Meet Up in Public Spaces

Our next tip is to meet in public. Never go to someone's house on the first date! Always have your meeting in a place that's full of people.
