Best Hiking Trails in Oregon

Oregon has some of the most beautiful scenery in the Pacific Northwest. It's home to beautiful coastlines, awe-inspiring forests, and gorgeous mountains topped with foggy peaks. The state is a hiker's dream!

If you're looking for a place to enjoy nature and attend outdoor meetup events for women, you're in for a treat. Read on to learn more about the best hiking trails the Beaver State has to offer.

God's Thumb

Located near Neotsu, the God's Thumb hiking trail is accessible through the "The Knoll." God's Thumb is a basalt formation providing breathtaking coastline views. But it's not just the destination you'll enjoy.

The path runs along the Salmon River Estuary, weaving through forests and meadows before bringing you to the ultimate vantage point for stellar views. The hike is about 4.4 miles long. While not particularly challenging, slip-resistant shoes are a must.

Ecola State Park

Ecola State Park is home to many outdoor meetup events for women. It's not hard to see why. This park is nothing short of impressive.

The hiking trails in the park go through beautiful forests before bringing you to the Pacific coast. Once you get to the coast, you'll have amazing views of enormous rock formations. Take a peek at secluded beaches, hidden coves, and calm tide pools. It's a feast for the eyes, and the moderate hike to get to the coast is well worth the effort.

Neahkahnie Mountain

If you want to complete a shorter hike, this one may be for you. It's only 2.8 miles long and is part of the more extensive Oregon Coast Trail.

The hike brings you to a dramatic vista overlooking the Pacific coast. On the way up, you'll see tons of vegetation. Do yourself a favor and go during the spring to enjoy the fawn lilies and wildflowers.

Those are just a few of Oregon's many hiking trails. The state is full of opportunities to get away from it all and enjoy nature. Meet fellow hiking-lovers, strap on your trusty boots, and hit the trail!
