Adult School Crossing Guards
Parents and Guardians of Township of Hillside Students:
The Hillside Police Department is currently hiring adult School Crossing Guards. School Crossing Guards work two shifts per day when school is in session. The shifts are from 7:15 A.M.-9:00 A.M. and 2:15 P.M.-4:00 P.M. on full school days and from 7:15 A.M.-9:00 A.M and 12:15 P.M.-2:00 P.M. on half school days. The work schedule for a School Crossing Guard mirrors the Hillside Public School District's calendar. School Crossing Guards are paid $15.70/hour ($54.95 per day). Training is provided by the Hillside Police Department. Applicants must be a Township of Hillside resident, at least 18 years of age, and provide their own transportation to and from their Crossing Guard Post.
