Guide to Which Wrist You Should Wear Your Watch On

Wristwatches are a classic fashion accessory for both men and women, and wristwatches are also a functional addition to any wardrobe. Although there are plenty of exciting options out there, including affordable pre owned Rolex watches, one of the first decisions one must make when deciding on a watch is which wrist to wear it on.

There's plenty of debate out there surrounding this topic, but really, it comes down to preference and comfort. Below are some considerations if you're still unsure of which wrist to use for your wristwatch:

Which is Your Dominant Hand?

For most people, deciding which wrist to use comes down to which hand is dominant. Most people place their wristwatches on the hand opposite their dominant hand. This means that if you're right-handed, you'll wear your watch on your left wrist. If you're left-handed, you'll wear your wristwatch on your right hand.

Conversely, some people believe that the left hand is always correct no matter which is your dominant hand. Traditionally, wristwatches have been worn on the left wrist no matter what. With that stated, there's also a notion that men should wear their wristwatches on the right hand and women should wear it on the left hand. This is a fairly arbitrary point of view, but it's something to consider when deciding how to wear a watch.

Showing Off Your Watch

Another thing to think about when deciding which wrist to use is how you plan to show off your watch. For instance, if you've been shopping at your local jewelry store for fancy pre owned Rolex watches, you probably want to display your purchase for everyone to see. In that case, consider which hand you use most often for gesturing and while talking. Placing the watch on this wrist may make more of a statement.

You can also consider your outfit and how it lines up with your watch. Your outfit may dictate one wrist or the other, but once again, in the end, it's all about what feels most comfortable to you.
